February 16, 2019 – Continued – Yum Cha Dim Sum

Our walking tour guide recommended Yum Cha, this trendy place in Tsim Sha Tsui, not too far from our Chungking Mansion (more on that later).  She said the four or so locations around town were seen as a trendy, cool place to go these days as their irreverent takes on classic dim sums made it a hot place to go for “IG crazed Hong Kong-ians.”  Based on the photos I’m posting here, I think I understand why.

Also, it was delicious.

For dessert, we opted for the baked pineapple puffs… can the caged bird sing?

The only downside to all this is that this was a late-ish, leisurely lunch and now I don’t really know what to do for dinner as a pre-race meal.  I’m stuffed from dim sum… but it’s a good problem to have!
