A Whole Lotta Walking Going On…

It’s been a tough few days of “training.” There’s been a lot more walking than I’d like during my “runs.” Yesterday for example there was at least a third of the distance done at Walking Dead Shuffle pace.

Still, I’m going to call my shot for this weekend. Sometimes you gotta aim high, higher than perhaps you even think you can reach. Shoot for the stars and you just might hit the moon or some such poster idiom involving a cat hanging by his claws and meowing, “Hang in there!”

So with this weather forecast in mind…

I’m looking at a major cold front, a drenching rain, and a cooler temperature.  I’m hoping the misery helps propel me to want to finish faster. Not to PR levels mind you, but I’m hoping for a BQ time of 3:12:47. Specificity adds credence to the prediction. Or perhaps that same specificity simply red flags it as a WAG – a wild ass guess.

We’ll find out… after the break.

And, well… after I run on Sunday morning in the City of Bridges, Blitzberg, the 412, the Paris of Appalachia, amongst other supposed nicknames for Pittsburgh.
