I took a time out from Facebook. In deactivating the account for a week I hoped to recharge my social tolerance. There’s a lot of noise in the world, both in real life and in virtual realms.
Having re-established the conn room to the social network, I am inundated with matters of import and insignificance… and I’m all too aware that what category the postings fall depends on one’s interests and points of view.
One such item was a photo post from MarathonTours. They’re organizing the inaugural Madagascar Marathon that I’m doing in June. Apparently they just received the finisher medals from the manufacturers.
One comment on the post called it the most beautiful medal the person had ever seen.
I wouldn’t say that, but I suppose it all depends on one’s interests and points of view.
