AM/PM Recoveries

It’s a dreary, overcast day, with a slight chill in the air (or at least a chill for Southern California). The sun hasn’t appeared once; this is how I always think of February.

I’m feeling mighty low. Just beaten down by it all. I don’t whether it’s the travel or this stupid sore throat that will not decide if it’s coming or going and instead prefer to just… linger.

I’ve bailed on my “Super Bowl” parties I was graciously invited to. I just don’t think I’m good company at the moment and thus have decided to just curl up on my couch and watch a movie. I did however try and use the time to scribble down the to-do list for the next few days. On that list, as on every list I make, is a reminder to go for a run.

In an effort to recover from yesterday’s drive and to boost my endorphins, I tried a morning and afternoon run. I’m not sure it helped. It didn’t hurt though so there’s that.
