Soooo… they didn’t deliver on the cannon firing at the start line. They used a pre-recorded soundtrack, a cheap sound effect wav file that I swear was made using MIDI software in 1997. In prior years they had an actual cannon firing… and indeed I’ve been at races with a cannon. Maybe there was a new noise ordinance about, um, ordinance.
However, they did send me these free pics taken along the route. They aren’t great… but they are free soooo…
