Why Do I Run? A Partial Answer

I’ve been meaning to pick up a ticket to the Hollywood Bowl while I’m in Los Angeles. Checking the seat prices online, Ticketmaster wanted a $5.50 “convenience fee” on top of the $14 back of the bowl ticket price. That’s a 39.2+% convenience fee.

Today then I detoured my running route and added a stop at the Bowl Box Office. And instead of buying the off-to-the-side back of the bowl ticket for $14, I opted for the middle of the back of the bowl ticket for $18. That was still a $1.50 savings over the Ticketmaster “convenience fee.”

So why do I run? Convenience. And to put money in my pocket even when I’m spending it.

And the show I’m seeing?
