January 9, 2019 – WDW Marathon Weekend Dopey Prep… Practically Perfect in Every Way?

Once more, dear dwarfs.  Once more unto the course.

For the sixth year running, making me PERFECTLY Dopey, I’m about to do the four races of the WDW Marathon Weekend.

It all starts today at the Expo to pick up my race bibs and shirts.

They’ve spread out the process to a third building, which has the added benefit of seemingly streamlining lines as well as offering a THIRD exit through a gift shop to sell ever more merch. A win-win, no?

I’m feeling a bit bamboozled by life and the world at the moment… and inspiration and creativity are at a bit of a low point. To be honest, I’ve been trying to write a 30-minute murder mystery party for some friends of mine. I arrogantly thought it’d be easy, that I could do a better job than an off-the-shelf game night package. Pride before the fall…

As a result, here are a bunch of expo pics presented with limited or possibly zero commentary:

I did though spend a bit of my creative energies the past few weeks assembling some running costumes for the next few days. We’ll see how they work but here’s the prep (I’m just doing the marathon in regular gear… 26.2 miles in a Moose or Rabbit or Duck suit seemed a bit too far… a bit that was a bit too far? Phooey… there’s a better way to phrase that I’m sure).

Sigh.  I may now be perfectly Dopey for six years, but I’m also perfectly dopey practically every day of my life.

ZING!
