I do not mean to take delight in MarathonTours cancelling this year’s Madagascar Marathon with limited notice to its participants. I do hope it’s bevause they realized they should do better than they did with the inaugural event last year which left me disappointed, underwhelmed, and unlikely to use their company in the future.
I DO though take delight in these kinds of stats recently released by runDisney. While I’ve had an up-and-down relationship with their events, I am glad to know that they, and many races around the globe, take the cold weather layers that get discarded by runners and launder them for donation to those less fortunate and in need.
