Running Course Route – Ohio via NYC

Sometimes… well… A LOT of time… the running is just a means to go someplace and see some place.

Today’s I’m in New York en route to Canton, OH, for their race. I’m meeting up with Steve and Alexis at some stage. It means a crazy hotel stay in a capsule hotel and a super late or early morning (depending on your point of view) to fly out on Saturday at 4 am and make it to the race expo, but it’s worth it.

Some stray NYC tourists shots:

Regular Limos: Need Not Apply.

The Seaport TKTS booth, wherein I bought a “table seat” for THE GREAT COMET OF 1812.

A serendipitous Diet Coke from a Duane Reade…

The World Trade Center 9/11 Memorial and the new Freedom Tower:

I posted this one to Facebook as I felt a little guilty taking advantage of the guy.  I totally bought a bridge for a steal… but to my credit, I didn’t lowball the offer, I simply accepted what he offered it at.  His loss if he didn’t realize how valuable it was.

Just some random pizza place… two slices and a Diet Coke for $5.59 (with tax).

Killing some time before checking into my capsule, I sat outside reading some dystopian literature.  I could’ve read CNN on my phone but this was less depressing… ZING!

It’s funny because it’s true!
