I’m pulling together odds and ends for the next few races and I just had an email reminder about the Rock N Roll Las Vegas Marathon in the middle of the month.
Included in the message was a PDF course map which I’m reposting here.
I had heard from fellow runners some grumblings about the revised route and given the pretzel twists and turns in there, I get it. Those are tough to do, hard on the knees sometimes, and really trying if you’re going for a PR time… but let’s be honest, you probably shouldn’t be running the Vegas strip at night and going for a PR anyway. But I get it.
Looking at it though, I’m reminded me of the “venereal disease” balloon animals Steve Martin used to make in his stand-up routines. Here’s hoping the race is half as fun as watching Mr. Martin on stage.
