I thought it would be fun to run around the iconic Vasquez Rocks out in California. It was an inaugural race called the SpaceRock Trail Race and it was sorts pitched right at my Trekker heart. I mean, here’s where Captain James T. Kirk squared off against a Gorn commander and single-handedly saved our universe by concocting a makeshift bazooka, shooting the Gorn, and then showing his opponent mercy.
But looking at the elevation chart and course description the race organizers just sent out, I think maybe fighting a humanoid lizard warrior would be a lot easier.
