Running with the Devil Marathon

Time check: 5:07 PM Pacific.

It’s just over 16 hours since I left my apartment to drive to Nevada and run a marathon in Lovell Canyon. I drove, I ran, I drove home. I’m exhausted.

So there will be no witty commentary, no discussion, no recap of the toll it all took. Just some photos and a notation that though some years prior had the mercury topping 100 or 110 degrees Fahrenheit, we lucked out with temperatures hovering around 80 or 85 as I finished. The folks doing the 50K or 50 miler had some higher temps but honestly — every runner for him or herself.
