Happy birthday to running guru and Table 44’s own Jean Groce! And thanks to Kerry for inviting mom and me to join in the festivities she amazingly planned for her mom!
As she knows my penchant for off-the-beaten-path fun, Kerry regaled me with her ongoing saga of trying to meet a sloth at Denver’s Aquarium. Due to several last minute cancellations due to Aspen’s need to sleep (uh… he’s a sloth… when ISN’T he asleep?). She’s been trying for over a YEAR now… and she’s hoping they can get the guy some coffee before her now rescheduled AUGUST meet and greet! I added a bit of post production magic for our lunch photo to tide her over…
As for the evening festivities — what a thing Kerry put together! I had never taken a boat to see the fireworks at Epcot. Plus, I was told there would be cake and man, oh man, was there cake! I stuffed my face with lemon and berry confectionary like a renegade golden ticket holder in Willy Wonka’s factory.
