Tonight is the big outdoor celebration dinner for TravellingFit. I did make it to that in 2015 and it was delightful… it will be all the better though to be there celebrating finishing the marathon rather than celebrating arriving in Ayers Rock.

As is often the case at a trip’s end, there are goodbyes and promises to keep in touch. I sincerely hope folks mean it because there are a lot of amazing people here. Some already have left and won’t be there tonight, as they needed to get back to work or had other commitments.. That’s understandable but a bit of a bummer as it would’ve been nice to have some kangaroo and crocodile with them under the stars.
They’ll be missed tonight but I’ll raise a glass to those not there. Maybe two glasses. We’ll see how it goes.
