June 13, 2016 – Post Script Preface? Concluding Introduction?

I’m back in Orlando after a two-fer bucket list trip.

As I write this, I’ve already contemporaneously drafted most of the “missing days” posts that didn’t get posted on the day due to wonky internet issues. The other reasons being I still need to fact check a few names and places and I didn’t have time to sort through my voluminous 3800+ photos to best accompany the written words. Even now, I’m daunted by that task of collating and curating the images that can best tell the stories and convey at least in part the emotions of the journey. But I’m trying…

As a result, I’ll post things as soon as I can.  It might take a few days or I might get industrious and just get them all up en masse in short order.

This then serves as the post script preface to the Rapa Nui / Machu Picchu adventures. I know what’s happened; I know what you’ll be getting in the next few postings. But isn’t that true of writings in general — the author already (hopefully) knows the tale being told and is therefore leading you to something — perhaps not a finite narrative conclusion but at least to an emotional payoff?

Fingers crossed some of the photos and stories that follow pay off. They did for me.

So let’s begin at the beginning then, yes?
