Here I am at the finish line meeting one of the seven remaining survivors of the Bataan Death March; 28 others passed away last year.
As for my time – I was doing pretty well, even with the 7 mile hill. But once I hit the sand pit of mile 21… and the winds picked up… well, I struggled mightily. Nothing like what those men endured 76 years ago. But I struggled.
The results show me with a chip time of 4:01:40.
