It’s been a long day and despite some hiccups with logistics (lunch took over 2 hours and cut into the “meat” of the sightseeing day, necessitating rushed, hurried, blurry photo opps at places that could have benefited from a bit more quiet contemplation), it’s been an interesting one.
I’m going to try and write up some notes from the day tomorrow during a slow boat to Bagan… that’s not a metaphor. It’s something like 9+ hours to get there.
In the meantime, here’s a “teaser” of Mandalay, the 2nd largest city in Myanmar, known for its crafts and artisans, as well as being home to over 70% of the Burma monks.
