October 7, 2017 – Prepping Zagreb, Sights to See and Marathon to Run

I’m waiting for the Zagreb Marathon expo to open and thus google-mapping/planning out a sightseeing trip this morning.  I also checked zagreb-marathon.com.

Good news!  I knew there were English details on the website!  I just needed to click on the Union Jack!

So a few interesting things to note for this race:

It starts at 10 am on Sunday. I’m not sure how to eat for that start time.  I guess I’ll have a real breakfast?

They have a really strict 5 hour, 30 minute cutoff… though the half has no cutoff (which means they have a 5:30 cutoff… which is a cut-off… but a cut-off doesn’t exist? I’m glad I’m doing the full – there are fewer logic puzzles).

I don’t understand the rotating cells description under refreshments but I’m excited about “sugar in the cake!”

I’m also kinda psyched for the lunch that is traditionally (ergo not necessarily guaranteed) to be served starting at 12:30. I hope there’s still some beans and goulash left when I finish!

I’m off to the expo at Europe House!  We’ll see how that goes.
